Find out more about the Council’s community flood signage scheme which allows trained volunteers to close roads during times of flooding, to supplement the work already carried out by Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP).
During a flooding incident, BBLP inspects and closes flooded roads across the county. However, there are often times when flooding happens quickly, and BBLP is unable to reach flooded areas before cars become stranded and roads are blocked.
