Linton Parish Council Platinum Jubilee Walk
To commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years reign.
A circular walk through Gorsley, Aston Crews, Hartleton and Linton

The full walk is a 3-hour (6.25mile) circular-walk, but it can easily be shortened to either 3.5 miles (1 hour 45min) or extended to 7.5 miles (3 hours 40mins) and there is a choice of three pubs and a cafe on the route to keep you refreshed.
The walk is along a combination of public footpaths (including several stiles) and quiet lanes. The topography is undulating and so there are a few short climbs and descents. The fields that are crossed by public footpath between points 5 and 6 usually have livestock grazing, so please ensure dogs are kept on a lead here.
Please refer to the map and leaflet available via the Herefordshire Council website. These provide directions and you will also see occasional Jubilee Walk waymarkers when walking in a clockwise direction.
As well as the shortcut mentioned you will see from the map that there are numerous other lanes and public footpaths which link into the Jubilee walk so you can easily make modifications as you go based on your energy levels and need for refreshment!
We hope you will enjoy the stunning views and countryside of this parish which is steeped in history, a few highlights of which are in the leaflet.
The walk starts in Gorsley next to the Baptist Church, where if arriving by car you are welcome to park in the large car park at the rear of the Church (except on Sundays between 10am and 1pm). From here facing the back of the chapel, turn right into the playing field and you will find the community shop and Orchard Coffee House just a few steps away on the left. Please do not leave cars for extended periods in the small car park adjacent to the Coffee House.
If travelling by car: Notes on car parking:
If starting in Gorsley then you can park in the large car park at the rear of Gorsley Baptist Church (except on Sundays 10am – 1pm). A good alternative at these times and also during school holidays is to park in the Pound Farm Lane which runs alongside Gorsley School just across from the Roadmaker Inn. Again, please do not park in the small car park at the Orchard Coffee House.
If starting the walk in Linton or Aston Crews then it is possible to park at the Alma Inn or Penny Farthing Inn if you are going to eat/drink there, but please call ahead (especially if you wish to park outside of opening times).
