Home Energy Efficiency Upgrade Grant Scheme

With temperatures rising people forget about their homes energy efficiency problems which will affect them this winter. The Home Upgrade Grant scheme, run by Severn Wye on behalf of Herefordshire Council, has £7 million in government funding available. The scheme helps low-income, off-gas households in Herefordshire access free energy-efficiency home upgrades, to keep their energy bills down in winter. And the household income limit is now up to £36,000 allowing more residents to qualify.

The scheme is open to residents who:

  • Don’t have mains gas central heating
  • Own or privately rent a property with an EPC rating of D, E, F or G
  • Have a total household income of under £36,000 per year
