New Parish Council Thermal Imaging Camera
The Parish Council has a thermal imaging camera which is available for loan by parishioners.
As you will no doubt be aware, one of the main areas where we as individuals can reduce our carbon footprint is in reducing the energy we use to heat our homes. For many of us, the simplest and most cost-effective step we can take to do this is to improve the insulation of our property.
We all know we should have loft insulation and double glazing but beyond that it is difficult to know where heat is escaping without paying for a thermal heat survey. However, with the thermal imaging camera it is possible to carry out our own DIY heat loss surveys which, while not perhaps giving the detailed insight provided by an expert, can give a good indication of the main areas we should be focusing on.
