Aston Ingham issues NDP Regulation16 consultation

Aston Ingham Parish Council have submitted their Regulation 16 Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) to Herefordshire Council for consultation.

The plan can be viewed at the following link: https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/directory-record/5780/aston-ingham-neighbourhood-development-plan

Once adopted, this NDP will become a Statutory Development Plan Document the same as the Core Strategy.

The consultation runs from 3 November 2022 to 15 December 2022.

If you wish to make any comments on this Plan, please do so by e-mailing: neighbourhoodplanning@herefordshire.gov.uk , or sending representations to the address below.

If you wish to be notified of the local planning authority’s decision under Regulation 19 in relation to the Neighbourhood Development Plan, please indicate this on your representation.

 

Review of constituency boundaries

There are some proposed changes to the two constituencies in Herefordshire  This is your last chance to have your say:

The Boundary Commission for England has published its revised proposals for new constituency boundaries. The proposals and maps for the nine English regions have been published on the website today at https://boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk/.

The four-week public consultation period has commenced and this will be the final chance for the public to give the Commission their views on the proposals. The consultation period will end on 5 December so it’s the last chance to have a say on anything from where the proposed constituency boundaries are, to their suggestions for new constituency names.

You can find more information about how to comment and where to view the hardcopy proposals throughout the county on our website. I have also attached a poster for you to display in your local area and/or website where possible to promote the consultation.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD ON POLICING ISSUES

Do you want to:
• Live in a safer community?
• Help to police your neighbourhood better?
• Advise on police operations and strategy?
• Share your experience and expertise to help build trust with diverse
communities?
• Work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, lifestyles,
cultures, ages and interests?
If you can answer yes to any or all of these questions, then West Mercia’s Independent Advisory Groups need you.

You say, we listen.

The IAGs and their members are here to:
• Provide advice to the police about a wide range of issues, telling them what effect policing is having on different people in the community. This is particularly important regarding hate crime and when there’s a major incident which may be of particular concern for certain groups in our communities.
• Look at policing policies and practices, pointing out any issues or unforeseen impacts of these, giving their views on whether these are working well and making suggestions for change or improvement, particularly in relation to fairness and inclusion.
• Examine reports about police powers (such as use of force) to make sure that they are using these in a fair, transparent and proportionate way. This helps to improve practice and to build mutual understanding, confidence and good relationships with all our diverse communities.

IAGs have been vital in providing advice and guidance to the police in many areas, including:
Critical and major incidents
Community relations and engagement
Use of firearms and Tasers
Equality and diversity issues
Stop and search
Hate
crime
Disability access
Community activities

Join us:
The Independent Advisory Groups are now recruiting people like you to help shape and impact local policing. You are welcome
to join as many of the themed groups as you feel is appropriate, and/or the local IAG group where you work, live or support
somebody. And of course, bring your understanding of diversity issues to all topics discussed at any IAG.
If you would like to join, all we ask is that you have an interest in policing, can volunteer for a few hours every couple of months
and would like to share your opinions on policing and community matters. You also need to be open to the views of others and be
committed to fairness and respect for difference.
