Unless it there is an emergency – don’t phone, don’t email, report the problem online.

Here you can tell the Council about:

• Faulty street light
• Flytipping
• Highway drainage issue
• Land drainage issue
• Overhanging tree
• Pavement needing repair
• Pothole
• Road needing resurfacing
• Road sign defect
• Worn road markings or missing cats eyes

Once on the system the Locality Steward will promptly inspect the issue and you will be advised of the action taken.  Your report has a unique number and will be monitored from start to finish.

You are most welcome to copy the Clerk into your actions – but please be aware that Councillors & Clerk are unlikely to be able to achieve a faster response.

Emergencies include:

• Dead animal on the road
• Disabled parking bays – obstructed bays or maintenance issues
• Flooding on a road or footpath
• Fuel/oil spills
• Gritting – urgent gritting required to road or pavement
• Lifebuoys – missing or damaged
• Manhole covers – damaged or missing
• Mud on a road
• Obstruction on the road or pavement requiring urgent attention, including fallen trees
• Traffic light faults on permanent traffic light

Dear residents

Herefordshire Council would like to hear from you about how we can improve health and wellbeing in Herefordshire.

We are working with health services and other organisations to develop a strategy and actions to improve health and wellbeing in the county over the next 10 years, and we are asking residents for their views about the things that they think are most important.

From information already available we have identified a number of issues that are most affecting the health and wellbeing of residents in our county and from these we have suggested some potential priorities for action, or for additional action where there is already work being done.

But we really want to know what your views are and about the things that you think we should be doing.

Feedback from this consultation will be available to view early in 2023 and it will help decide the priorities and content of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy which is due to be published in the Spring of 2023.

Wrap up this winter

Some premises like schools, caravan parks and industrial estates are particularly vulnerable to burst pipes during cold weather.

If you have exposed pipes or your premises are left empty for days then it’s more likely that your pipes could burst and could go unnoticed, causing a flood.

As colder weather approaches, let’s wrap up and prepare for lower temperatures, so that you won’t get caught out this winter.
