Herefordshire Natural Flood Management Project Information Day – 6 February 2024

The Herefordshire Natural Flood Management (NFM) Team would like to invite you to an NFM information day on Tuesday 6 February 2024 at Hereford Town Hall. The day will contain two sessions:

 

  • Session 1: 09:00 – 12:00
  • Session 2: 12:30 – 16:30

In order to ensure they have capacity (and to minimise time spent waiting), they would like you to indicate what times within these sessions you are able to attend. To book, please complete the table below and send your response to nfm@herefordshire.gov.uk by 30 January 2024.

Please let them know if you have any other requirements for attending the event, in terms of accessibility or additional support needs.  
If you’re unable to attend on this day, please let them know and subject to enough interest they will aim to deliver further events.  

 

On the day you can:

  • Meet the NFM project team, including staff from Herefordshire Council, Balfour Beatty Living Places, the Wye and Usk Foundation, Severn Rivers Trust, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and Natural England
  • Find out more about how the Herefordshire NFM project is being delivered in your area – led by Herefordshire Council, the Herefordshire NFM project has funding until March 2027 to work with landowners and communities within the seven priority sub-catchments, helping them identify opportunities and deliver NFM measures within the catchments which help to reduce the flood risk to downstream communities.
  • Find out more how flooding is managed in Herefordshire – roles and responsibilities? What action is already happening?
  • Ask questions – Please see the attached document which give a quick overview of the Herefordshire NFM project and how it is being delivered. The following links also provide some wider information on common concerns or issues raised about flooding. If you have any questions about what they have shared or more specific questions about issues within your catchment, please come along and ask the team.

Please note, that the event has a primary focus on the catchment areas within the Herefordshire NFM project, however the team will do their best to address any queries raised outside of these areas.
