Linton Quarry is a SSSI which is owned by the Parish Council. You will find it in Quarry Lane in Gorsley. Over the years the Quarry had become much neglected and overgrown and so we are now working to revive it so that it can become a haven for wildlife as well as a quiet spot for parishioners to enjoy. To date, we have:
- started a regular programme of cutting back nettles and brambles to encourage a diversity of wild flowers
- created new paths through the woodland
- done some clearance of vegetation from around the rockfaces
- added a sign at the Quarry entrance
