Travellers Sites Development Plan – Still time to have your say

As you may be aware the Travellers Sites Development Plan (DPD) is currently being examined by a government appointed Planning Inspector.  Hearing sessions were held in May 2018 and March 2019.

As a result of discussions at these hearing sessions, the Inspector has issued proposed Main Modifications to the DPD.  These main modifications are proposed in order to make the Traveller sites DPD ‘sound’.

The main modifications are open for public consultation from 1 May 2019 to 12 June 2019. It’s not too late if you would like to give your views.

They can be found, together with the representation forms and all the background information to the preparation of the document, online at: www.herefordshire.gov.uk/travellersdpdexamination

Representations can only be made on the Main Modifications and no other parts of the DPD.  A schedule of additional modifications has also been prepared for information purposes only.  The additional modifications are minor changes including factual updates and corrections; therefore these are published for information only.

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING – Mon 20th May at Gorsley Village Hall 7:30pm

The Parish of Linton Annual Parish Meeting

will take place on

Monday 20th May at 7:30pm

in Gorsley Village Hall.

We are delighted to announce that WILLIAM WILDING the new PENYARD WARD COUNCILLOR will be joining us to meet Parishioners and tell us a little about himself and his plans.

This year Rural & Business Crime Officer, Paul Crumpton of West Mercia Police will provide brief presentation on how you can help with Crime Prevention in our rural communities.

And importantly we look forward to receiving updates and information from as many local community organisations as possible – and if you cannot attend just send in your report to the Clerk by 17th May.

All Parish and Town Councils throughout England are required by law to hold an Annual Parish Meeting, which must take place between 1st March and the 1st June (inclusive). Meetings should not commence before 6.00 pm.  The purpose of the
meeting is to provide annual democratic point of communication enabling the Parish Council to report what it has been doing over the last year and providing an opportunity for the electors to have their say on anything they consider is important to the people of the Parish.

The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of all the local government electors for the Parish, in which the public are entitled to attend and participate.
